This is the privacy policy for builtbycyan.com, operated by MIKE DROPS PTY LTD (ABN 84 691 269 182), Level 3, 478 George Street, Sydney NSW 2001. We are committed to handling your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
- Identity and contact info you provide when you buy or enquire: name, business name, email, phone, suburb.
- Payment information processed by Stripe Payments Australia. We do not store your card number.
- Site content you supply for your build: copy, photos, brand assets.
- Usage data like IP address, browser type, pages viewed. Collected via standard server logs and privacy-respecting analytics.
- AI Salesperson conversations if you interact with Cyan, our AI agent, on this or any site we build. Logged to improve service.
Why we collect it
- To deliver your website and AI Salesperson in 48 hours as promised.
- To issue invoices, process payments, and meet our tax obligations.
- To respond to your enquiries and provide ongoing support.
- To improve the service and the AI Salesperson over time.
Who we share it with
We share only what is necessary to deliver the service:
- Stripe for payment processing.
- Cloudflare and Netlify for hosting and content delivery.
- Google Workspace for email correspondence with you.
- The Australian Tax Office where required by law.
We do not sell your data, ever.
How long we keep it
Customer records and invoices are retained for seven years to meet Australian tax law. Enquiry records are deleted after 24 months of no activity. AI Salesperson logs are retained for 12 months for service improvement.
Your rights
Under Australian privacy law you have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct or update inaccurate information.
- Ask us to delete your information (subject to legal retention requirements).
- Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner if you believe we have mishandled your information.
Cookies
We use minimal essential cookies for the site to function and a privacy-respecting analytics cookie to count visits. We do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies.
